Jerry Granelli cut his teeth on some of the best trios in the business; Vince Guaraldi, Denny Zeitland and Mose Allison, to name a few. Yes, Jerry has led and directed small and large ensembles over the years but this is the first time that he has stepped up to lead his own trio. Granelli has created an unconventional take on the jazz trio. The artistry and distinctive sound of musicians Danny Oore and Simon Fisk are what bring something new to the traditional trio structure: Simon on bass and cello and Danny on tenor, soprano and baritone saxophone. The result is seamless and multi layered, and as Jerry puts it, no-one in the band gets a free ride. Come and hear this living, breathing unit tear their music apart and effortlessly weave it back together.
